Event Log.

The screen was designed as an admin tool to help our support and development teams efficiently track, monitor, and manage all platform events in real time, ensuring smooth operations and quick issue resolution.
My role: UX design, UI design
Timeline: 1 month

Problems.

Too technical, resulting in low usage.

Our support team found it too technical and had difficulty understanding its value, which resulted in low usage and limited adoption within the team.

User Research.

Throughout development, I used various tools and research methods to create
the best solution.

Usability testing

Session recordings (via LogRocket)
We analyze user behavior to identify pain points and areas of friction.
User interviews
We gather qualitative insights into their workflows and pain points.

Market research & competitor analysis

Additionally, we researched Industry standards and best practices in event history.

Solutions.

Our research highlighted three key areas for improvement:

Smart Filtering for Quick Access

We added a sidebar filter to help the support team quickly find relevant events without sorting through excessive data.

Translating Code into a Clear Visual UI

The most relevant events were account updates, so we translated the code into a clear, structured UI. This provided a clear “before and after” view of configuration changes, making it easy for the support team to track modifications.

Highlighting Overrides

We redesigned the table with a clear visual marker for overrides, making it easy for the support team to identify issues faster.

Challenges

Tight Timeline and Concessions
The project needed to launch within a month. This required prioritization, meaning full code translation into user-friendly text and advanced filters would be deferred for future updates.
